So I was thinking of getting into this series ... I stumbled on Chronicles of Nick Series and enjoyed it. I was thrilled it wasn't geared towards one gender or trying to be a Twilight type series. I am a big fan of Jim Butchers Dresden Files and the Sandman Slim series. So I guess I am asking is this series more Dresden-esque or is it some overly romantic Twilight type series? Any help would be appreciated

i was about to start this series and then i noticed that it has 29 books!! WOW!! so my question is: is it worth it??? because i know that is really difficult to make a "successful" series with so many books!

I've read almost all as they came out (I learned about the series when three books had already been published) and am going back and rereading now. It's been fun seeing the seeds planted in earlier books that bloom later. And a lot of characters pop up in multiple books. But again, always with a brief explanation. So do you need to have read Fantasy Lover to read Dance With the Devil? No. Is it more fun getting to know the characters and see how the world builds? In my opinion, yes.(less)

I want to begin this series but got confused... what will be the reading order with all the overlapping series? Which books to buy first?

Britney I started with Fantasy lover which is the prequel. It was wonderful! I'm just starting Night Pleasures number one. There is a list on the authors website.
