I am a librarian for a very conservative K-6 elementary school. I haven't had the chance to read this book. Would you all recommend it for my library? I think the topic may interest a lot of 4-6 grade readers but would like to know if there is cussing in the book or anything sexual? Thanks for the help!!

Dakota Smith Nothing sexual, one of the characters is unmarried and living with a man.

Does the book have a depressing ending, with perhaps even Fanny becoming jaded and vengeful? It doesn't seem like it, but someone on Amazon said they were unhappy with the ending even though they loved the rest of the book.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!! The movie does however have a lot of cuss words and everything. The movie and the book are really different. People have their own stories about what happened. I recommend this book to everybody.
