Do you have to read the Mike Bowditch books in order, to understand what is going on? I just stubbled on Knife Creek and realized its book number #8.

However, I picked up the Bowditch series toward the end, #9, I think, without knowing it was a series. I then read what was available from my library, which was maybe the most recent four. I decided to buy the first two and I don't feel like I missed out on much at all. Spoiler: I don't think Mike has grown up much if any from Poacher's Son to One Last Lie. I plan to finish the series and I see that there is one more due to publish.(less)
