Are all of the books set up the same way: Someone is murdered; they think it is one person, but it's not; Sarah interacts with killer; Sarah comes close to dying?

I don't mind that plot, though. Haha! I've read 13 books and they aren't as charming anymore because of the repetition of the of the characters. They make tea at the kitchen table, the old lady neighbor comes over and tells some odd superstition...they do this about a hundred (so it feels) times in each book and it's pretty boring. It does get old with Frank wanting Sarah to stay out of the case and inevitably she weasels her way in anyway. I absolutely LOVED these books when I started reading but by about book 9 or 10 my interest was fading. (less)

I'm very curious about what kind of dancing was done in the time of this book and others by Thompson. Was it couples dancing, group dancing, or what? From the context of the book it seemed like it was couples dancing, but what kind? The waltz, polka? Wish the author had told us more.
