This is in no way a critique of the book or the work itself: I found the book fascinating and thought provoking but on the other hand a bit dehumanizing. Do you understand what I mean?

Humanistic psychology is its opposite, I would say; HP holds the individual up as sacred and to be studied on a per-person basis.

I enjoyed this book back when I first read it (near its publishing date) but I, too, feel it is too facile and dehumanizing when compared to other--more modern--branches of psychology.(less)
