Did anyone else have to take notes to sort out the characters, their "aliases" and various changes of time, location, astral plane, relationships, common diseases, scientific knowledge, etc? Most of the characters failed to draw me into their drama, with the exception of the two women Urmila and Sonali. I read this book because I've loved others by Amitav Ghosh. This one didn't grab my interest. Sorry Amitav.

Can someone explain me the ending of this book?

I just started reading this book. I am confused by some lines in the first chapter? What is the gadget that Antar returned to the banker? I thought its Ava, but again there is mention of him continuing using it.
