I picked this book up at a garage sale (also known as a "yard sale" apparently) because I love science fiction, and I'm really into a video game that is currently in development called Star Citizen, which is being created by the same person that created the Wing Commander universe. My questions are: 1. Does this book stand the test of time well? 2. Can this book be read without having read the first two?
