Does anyone have a theory on what Cathy EXACTLY died from? I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says the author implies she died of a broken heart. But we all know that's not true. She committed suicide of some sort after gluing all the flowers back up on the attic walls. Possibly excessive glue sniffing/intake..??

I think that she just gave up on life and something was telling her that it was her time...I've read other books where the old women get a premonition that it's their time to die (peacefully) and they don't resist it. I feel like that's what Cathy did. (less)
