I'll try my best to come up with a decent (spoiler-free) list...
- It passes the Bechdel test
- The story takes place in three countries, two of which are ruled by queens who insist that whoever they marry is of their own choosing
- Although many of the characters are male (including the protagonist), the women play roles NO LESS important
- But the women go about their duties not to prove anything for their gender, but simply to fulfill their responsibilities
- The uncontested ruler of lesser gods is a goddess named Hephestia
- There is no one ideal representation of women in any of the female characters; they are unique, flawed and beautiful in their own ways

I speculate that he stays imprisoned in Sounis for several years and then is banished to another country or the outlying regions of Sounis. When Ion asks Sophos what his fate will be, Sounis replies that he will be imprisoned not forever, but for a good while.(less)
