I would say children ages 9 through 15 would enjoy these books. Anyone younger might not appreciate them. The books can be very depressing, despite the humor in them, so know your children and what they can/can't handle. Or ask them questions as their reading to see how they are handling it. There aren't any inappropriate or obscene references that i've found. But there are situations that might be deemed uncomfortable. I'm rereading these books as an adult and really enjoying, so it might be worthwhile to read ahead of your children so you can determine what they should/ shouldn't see.(less)
