Also in the comic there are some scenes that are much too gory to ever be shown on tv and theyre very shocking, which makes it even better imo, nothing is held back lol.
Because the story/characters are different their deaths and how long theyve lived are also different, so even though youve seen the show you wont get spoiled about anything. The characters are much more developed and none feel like a "filler", theyre all there for a reason. But yes you should definitely pick them up, its so intense especially the first 2 compendiums (which are huge btw). Hope this helps! (less)
