So...my grandson (age 13) was up crying in the night and unable to sleep for several hours because the devil from this book was after him.....does it all end well? Should I encourage him to keep reading to abolish the bad dreams?

It's a pretty dark story all the way through with creepy monsters and character deaths, and there's no romance at all, but that's more of a preference thing than an age thing. I was 13 when I read it and had no problems. (less)

Does this series contain any colorful language and adult friendly situations or is it more of a YA adventure like The Hunger Games and Divergent ? ( I despise the flood of YA trash published these days )

?I thought that it was very intriguing because I have never read a book anything like this. I thought it was an interesting concept to take a mean person, and frame them for murder, which was extremely surprising.
