Hi ! I would like to read the sequel but I want to know before I go in : does Stands with a fist dies or is she still alive by the end of the book ? Thanks !

Chris Sands She is alive but submits to being a captive indian rather than live as a white person.

Does anybody know where this book can be bought at a reasonable price? I would love to read it. 'Dances With Wolves' both film and book are long standing favourites of mine, but 'The Holy Road' and 'Into the Stars' are so very expensive, certainly beyond my pocket.

J. May AbeBooks has used copies for a really good price and you can also look on Amazon.

Another question I understood from reading about Dances with Wolves that the tribe Dunbar become involved with were Sioux yet it states in references below they were Comanche! Which tribe were they?

Ian Gemmell That would explain why the chief is Ten Bears the name of a Commanche chief (as in the outlaw Josie Wales)

You may or may not be upset by who lives or dies but some of the characters become more than what they were in the first book. Just read it and be happy you did.
