How horror is this? I love a Gothic novel and any odes to them, but am not a big gore and grossness fan.

There is no gore or grossness in this book. I'd place this easily in the categories of Gothic thriller and Mystery so I would personally recommend this to you. A person, without spoilers, does die but the description of the death is very minimal. Enjoy!(less)
