Christiehickory Yes- why did they not get to have a conversation? I hated the ending of that chapter.

If you are comfortable with a few explicit love scenes, then it's fine.
Content wise, it's sort of about the transition to finding oneself after one finishes college, with a bit of a love story and some magic thrown in. There are elements of grief as well. Totally appropriate on those levels.
Strict parents or school guidelines might object to the few love scenes, though. (less)

There are a few curse words mentioned and there are on-page "relation" scenes, though they aren't necessarily explicit.

The themes mentioned in the book are also a little bit more mature (e.g. grief, navigating your career, the characters are often drink alcohol, etc.) so I feel like older readers would be able to resonate with it more.

With the magical realism aspect taken into consideration, it's duel timeline-ish so the characters are between 26-33 years old throughout the book. It's overall a beautiful book that I think anyone can enjoy but there are a few mature themes that might not make it age appropriate for younger readers. (less)
