Although there is nothing truly graphic, I don't think that younger kids would probably enjoy it and honestly I don't think it's the sort of book that should be given to a middle schooler even if they would enjoy it. The main character, Leighton, repeatedly is able to avoid consequences for her behavior due to her family's extreme wealth. She never really changes and never seems to acknowledge her own privilege in that area in any meaningful way. (less)
