I thought as soon as “Alex/Victor” went over the rail, she would check the eyes but she couldn’t. Then the next scenes his eyes are covered or they are in dark rooms. Even on the wedding night/morning, she wakes up to him reading?! Like isn’t he suppose to be wearing shades to help his eyes heal. The eyes were the only things that tipped her that Victor wasn’t Alex when she was working on the painting. But then he crossed his ankles and I was like now you have to know, girl! (less)

There is a sex scene, although it’s a dream, so the characters don’t actually do it, but it is still described vividly. Not at an adult level erotica, but its VERY obvious they are having sex. There is also a scene where the main character finds a book of pornographic pictures, and it is also described quite vividly. It also had no point to the plot!! Just thrown in there to be gross. A big chunk of the book just kind of focused on sexuality in general. There was even a part where some flowers/plants were described sexually! What the heck…🤢 Lots of weird vibes in this book. (less)

Erin Craig It’s not a sequel. This is Verity’s story, told 12 years after the events in HOSAS!
