I would give it a 1.5 pepper out of five. I'm not entirely sure if it will get spicer throughout the series but it is adult so there are mature scenes and some banter that may not be seen as clean. There is a scene toward the end that gets some heat. Which could be skipped since it's not too long. This first book really focuses on the world building, characters, and overall plot. Preparing for the rest of the series. I do see the potential for it to get spicer. (less)
