Unanswered Questions (1)

Hi, Hornby is involved in many movies, made from his own books, made from others‘ books, written by him for the screen first. It seems that here Hornby wasn’t involved at all in the film adaptation (except for a small cameo supposedly). Do yo know why Horny here didn’t contribute at all (to my knowledge)? Thanks?
