I have the 1999 edition. Does the newer edition add more pertinent data I should be absorbing? Really liked Uriel's Machine and highly recommend this for learning ancient history,

I bought and reread this one as there had been pages removed from the 1999 edition…moreI do not know about later editions than the 2000 paperback edition. I bought and reread this one as there had been pages removed from the 1999 edition I initially read. In my 2000 edition, several sections had been relegated from chapter sections to appendixes instead. Rendering the main volume actually less than the original, even though all the original material was still in the book. This change did puzzle me somewhat as there was very little time in between the two editions. Not sure if this helps..(less)
