Characters and events from previous books are well enough explained that even though it had been a very long time since I'd read the earlier books, I didn't have any trouble following it.(less)

The series is a wonderful series that could be read out of context but to start at the beginning is always the best with any series of books to understand all that has and will happen to the characters in the series plus it helps it to melt around you as you fold yourself into them all are a wonderful read enjoy . Hehe if you dare ??
