Of Luke 4:23: “St Luke’s dig: ‘Physician, heal thyself’, is ‘Leech leech yourself’ in the Lindisfarne Gospels of AD 950…” (p. 169) I expect that an Old English translation of Latin (as Lindisfarne had) would look more like “lǣce thē self." For this manuscript, I only found selected image scans at the British Library and OCR typos on Archive.org. Can anyone confirm the general idea of the translation as "leech"?
