There is a good bit of blood and gore (sword fighting and assassin-ish killings and such, with some gory details), minimal cursing, a little alcohol, but no explicit sexual content or deeply disturbing content. Pretty mainstream epic fantasy. A couple of the main characters are young teens, and there are animals as well. I think teenagers would enjoy it. (less)
