What age range would you guys say is appropriate for reading this series? I read these when I was around 10/11 and I absolutely LOVED THEM!! I want to buy them for my niece but I think she may be a bit too young for them yet..

However The Curse of the Gloamglozer is quite scary (admittedly I'm a scaredy cat but I did find this petrifying at age 12 or so when I first read it) but Into The Deepwoods and all the others would be fine for an 8y/o. Just not the Gloamglozer.(less)
