Could someone explain why convent would want to hush up the nun having visions? I would think it might bring fame to the institution, and perhaps a saint. But the very worldly abess was very determined to keep it on the down low.

After reading "Sacred Hearts," I felt Sarah Dunant must have had real experience as a nun. Her writing was so life like. I once was a nun and could relate to her knowledge. I also have written a novel, "Magdalena's Conflict." A story about a nun who leaves a monastery. Do you think the ending necessary?
