Does this book address the Crusades and Richard's involvement in them? Because when I hear his name, all I think about is the West's genocidal war for their "Holy Land" and all the innocents in that region who were slaughtered because of it. certainly doesn't leave me feeling romantic. The history would have to be pretty "alt" to avoid that, IMO.
