This is my all-time favorite book (so far). If you have read this book and love it...do you have any other recommendations for me?

Wasn’t as much a fan of her shorter books like Voic…moreI personally loved other of Rosamunde Pilcher’s longer books like September and the Shell Seekers. Wasn’t as much a fan of her shorter books like Voices in Summer though they were ok. Also I loved a number of Maeve Binchy’s books such as the Scarlet Feather, Minding Frankie, and Light a Penny Candle. There is a sense throughout most of her novels of the goodness of human nature despite obstacles. More recently, I have started and enjoyed several of Jean Grainger’s various series: The Robinswood Trilogy is my favorite so far.(less)

But it is closer to The Thornbirds, as they both have female main characters. Downton Abbey is a TV show, not a book, and there isn't one main character. (less)
