So, what happened to Apex and Callum? I hope this ending creates a new series or extension of the store after the prisoners are rescued.

Ward mentioned at her signing event for Lassiter that they might feature in one of her Christmas in Caldwell novels, but who knows. Maybe we'll get a 4th Prison Camp book after all. She's been known to change her mind on when/where some of the background relationships appear. But fingers crossed they come back eventually. I enjoyed their plot line in this one a lot. (less)

I'd recommend it more for the world building and action than I would the romance personally. Just depends on what you're looking to get out of it I suppose :)(less)
