What on earth was going on with the teeth clicking? How do teeth even click? Did the author mean, like chattering or grinding? I enjoyed the book just fine otherwise, but the constant teeth updates were So Annoying. Was it meant to be a Tourettes-like tic or is the main character a greyhound?

In the 2nd book someone mentions that they have changed clans three times. So I think certain families are in certain clans based on lineage but not all wednesdays are related to each other. Some families within certain clains might be related, like Jay and his aunt and it would make sense that people couple off within clans. (less)

Winnie has been shunned by her friends and has mixed feelings about <spoiler>being included again after her first trial</spoiler>, which feels very realistic but might hurt feelings of younger kids who've been shoved out of a friend group. It's treated as a negative thing, as it should be. I think younger teens would be fine. Winnie has a little crush but no kissing.(less)
