Book one ends on a major cliff hanger, but no worries because book two is available for you to continue onto. Book two ends with not as much of a cliff hanger, but you're certainly going to be on the edge of your seat absolutely ready for book three which is set to be released in September of 2023. As daunting as that sounds, if you enjoy fantasy romance, read it! You will not be disappointed. (less)

How is it with past lovers? Is the King (I so wish that) virgin too? Like, is he only focused on his wife or are their mentions of other lovers be it in the past or present. Does he only ever have one woman in his life (which would be my dreambook in that case:)?

There's one scene where the King has been slipped a strange poison and his brother (the manwhore of the story) has presented him with a naked girl and, under the influence, the King kisses her. He can't stop thinking about his wife though and ends up in her room. If I say any more, I'll spoil the scene but the King is totally focused on Faraine throughout the first book and into the second, which is as far as I've read so far. This is one of Sylvia Mercedes best series IMO. Hope that helps.(less)
