It is never very descriptive but mentioned in reference to pregnancy, giving her daughter 'the talk' before her wedding night, and once Marmee confesses she doesn't miss her husband "physically" because she can 'recreate the physical pleasure herself'. (or something like that)

There isn't any strong language or violence. Overall I would recommend this book for around 14 and up.(less)
