In Chapter 5 Sandford mentions authors CJ Box and John D. MacDonald. He alludes to "a cop writer in the Cities" whose characters never do paperwork or use the can. Does anyone know who that writer is? Is that Camp himself? I feel like there's a joke or an Easter egg I'm missing here.
