What ages of young readers would this book be appropriate for?? I teach 7th graders and I have heard great things it, unfortunately I have a HUGE stack of books I need to read to decide if I can include them in my classroom library and there are just not enough hours in a day to read them all. In high school curricula, cross cultural understanding would complement study of American foreign policy in the 20th Century. Absolutely, this novel would be appropriate in high school classrooms.(less)
