I ADORE Laini's YA books but I'm debating whether to read this...is it more aimed at younger kids?

Shana Dorgelo I read this book at aged 22 and enjoyed it. It is definitely a book for fantasy lovers, however I believe that children aged 14 and up would enjoy it.

Is this book intended for kids? How young of an audience is this best suited for?

Mays 11 and up, it does not contain any gore or overly mature themes. Highly recommended.

Did anyone else find it strange that the crows are smoking? How are they smoking? They can't create suction with their mouths. How do they hold the cheroots to light them? How do they hold them period? I can suspend my disbelief to magic and fairies that talk to flowers, but this is just... odd.
