The lie could only be kept up…moreThat was the most confusing part of the book, and the precise reason why I logged into Goodreads to check the questions. The lie could only be kept up so long and that scene with the doctor and the ultrasound ruined the book for me and made it surreal. The narrator was truthful to us all along so I don’t feel like she lied about this. It would have been better if she told about the ultrasound as if it had been a dream. (less)
