The things we've faced and walked through have worked together to fasten us to one another, and that's an extraordinary thing. Many families would not have survived, but ours did. The Donahues are based on my own parents, and the kids are based on myself and my siblings - in some ways, so naturally that I didn't even realize it at first. (less)

In all my books, I make it a point to exclude ALL use of profanity and coarse or inappropriate language. :) It's my desire to make my stories readable for all ages. That said, I do tackle tricky subjects (like sexual assault, teen pregnancy), but always endeavor to do so with great grace. You will never find explicit sexual content in my books, though there may be references to things like that as it pertains to the struggles of the characters. :) Hope that helps!(less)
