How did Zoe get to England? The Kirkus Review said that she was the daughter of Faye and was adopted hence the move to England. However in the family tree in the front of the book it has Lai King as the mother of Zoe and Faye as her daughter. What is correct?

I think she undid the trauma that she inherited. I did not once see this as time travel (science fiction). I saw it more as speculative fiction. Dorothy's treatment had her "dreaming" about her ancestors' trauma and eventually overcoming it. I believe the new visions showed better outcomes in all cases. The treatment was not changing the past, but helping Dorothy not be affected by the past to such an extent.(less)
