Heart of Fire is probably the closest - they're looking for a diamond in Brazil. I love some of Howard's books (and these three are probably my favourites) but I will add the caveat that these were written in the 90s and her work can feel a little dated sometimes. I don't recall anything super problematic in these titles but her male heroes are little rougher around the edges and can veer into chauvinistic territory sometimes. (less)

But all language for the scenes was more like pg-13. Not similar at all to other CLo books!(less)

The notebook, gun, zip ties, & SAT phone they found in his pack incriminated him, but the others still acted pretty shook up after Brad pushed Terry over a cliff, held the rest of them at gunpoint, then made up a cover story & insisted they keep searching. So why did they overlook all of that & go along with him? Not much holds up in this silly plot. (less)
