How is this book going to address trans and nonbinary folks? Does the mist affect AMAB people, thus killing most trans women and sparing most trans men and some nonbinary folks? Or does the effect depend on gender identity? Books with sex or gender-based concepts like this always intrigue me, because sex and gender are so nuanced.
