What happened to the three paintings by Thomas Scott of Lexington? a. The first, a painting of Lexington, as a colt was given to Jarrett, who later gives it to May. b. ???? c. Eventually purchased by Jarrett. I'm not sure I have the history of the three paintings straight.

What was the point of briefly introducing Julien? Is it necessary to add a gay mulatto artist, if only to highlight yet another aspect of discrimination? Or perhaps because the letter to him from Thomas Scott allows the reader to understand Scott's experience in the war?

so, based on the author's modus operandi, does anyone else think that jess died from covid for not wearing a mask on a transpacific flight at the end of 2019 and that clancy got neglected in the crate and died too? because i'm betting if there was another chapter, those two things would be in it.

Why was Scott’s story told in first person while everyone else was third person? I read the answer that said his story may have been taken from his diary. My question is what was the literary reason for having it be first person rather than changing it to third person to match the other POVs?

Would you please explain the chain of owners for the two paintings that Jarrett owned?
