I tried to take many of the existing tropes of the cyberpunk genre and update them to reflect (I believe) the number one existential fear of our time: the climate crisis. It's not about "walking skinjobs" or fetishisation of Japanese culture or new opportunities on the offshore colonies or cool jackets; it's more a critique of magic bullet technologies and green growth.(less)
