Is no one else completed furious at how this book ended? I am beyond furious. What an absolutely horrible thing to do to Luc. Absolutely horrific. And yet, everyone is giving it five stars. I find it to be a pathetic attempt by the author to further prolong the ever-lasting cycle of Luc and Ava being unable to commit. I feel absolutely manipulated.

I just randomly picked this up in a bookstore and I didn't realize it's #7 in a series. Can this book be read as a "stand alone" or do I really need to start with book 1?
Margreet I would definitely start with book 1. The other books are fine to read as a stand-alone, but not this one.
