Just think about it if you have decided to marry someone what it reflects is that you are willing to commit your entire life to that one person and both of you can be sure that no matter what the other person will be there because you both have promised to be together in this case marriage acts like a bond that is not easily breakable. But in a relationship where there is nothing to hold the couple the chances of them just giving up on their relationship becomes easy.

So, it's not marriage but the bond that actually makes romantic relationship better and marriage is just one of the ways to make this bond stronger. (less)
