When does this book get good? I'm 40% in, and really struggling. Wishy-washy heroines that are willfully ignorant and whiney really do not do it for me. I think I will abandon until someone can answer this question for me or let me know why they liked this book so much?

I finished it but I don’t think I’ll read the sequel. Abusive love interests are the worst. The main character does start fighting back toward the end of the novel but by that point I was fed up with the whole book. (less)
