Thank you for the question.

In writing my stories, I like to explore the impact of social issues in our history. What is accepted now, was against the law decades ago, and I can only imagine the challenging times those individuals must have had. This shows that while Cornelia could not pursue the life she wanted, (with Rae Lynn) she was still able to find happiness and peace.(less)

Hi - thank you for reading!

Yes, it is money. Eugene sold the house/turpentine farm to Butch, and Eugene, as a lawyer, knew Rae Lynn should have some of the money. (The wife usually gets 50% of husband's property.) And Butch is there, and says "I reckon it's settled," meaning he knows it's over, once and for all. (less)

I assume by "clean" you are likely referring to language, and/or adult activities. I'm not familiar with those authors, but I think my stories are truthful with regard to human nature. Is there sex? Yes. Is there bad language? Yes, there is. I don't shy away from hard topics, or difficult situations. I hope this helps.

Hi Shannon - thank you for the question!

Many character's endings were left to speculation, and Georgie's is definitely one of those. If you think about it, we never meet Georgie's parents, or really know much about him, except he's the water boy, and suffered ill treatment in the past. Those at the camp are assumed to have stayed and continued working. For many, it was the only way of life they knew. (less)
