As it states in the author's n…moreWhile it is described as anti-historical, I think that term is a little misleading as it sounds like something its not. As it states in the author's note, anti-historical really just means that it is going against the typical historical narrative, not necessarily against history itself. Because history is written by the victors, aka straight white men in this case, many diverse figures (ie. racial and sexual minorities) were written out of the narrative. In the book, however, they are very much written back in. I hope this helps, and in the future I would recommend actually reading a book before making judgements! :) (less)
