I think something happened in his life that made him write about these specific locations--Africa, the Middle East, France, China, North and South Korea, and Japan.(less)

I just started this but as an audio book and i can't easily rewind. I don't recall him saying where "Munchkin Country" is located. Did he?

I can only assume that our author was given a special guided tour of the facility.(less)

Does anybody know where I might find a list of characters? Follett sometimes has that list at the beginning or end of his books but not this one and he usually has too many characters for me to keep straight.
