Why do girls want bad boys? They don't make good partners. Ranger kidnapped her, put her in a psyc ward--even took away her clothes, to force her to conform to the Academy. That is not love. I don't care that Ranger is handsome (so is Pete), AND Pete loves Kate with all his heart. Ranger wants to further his career. He may have underlying feelings for Kate that have softened his heart somewhat but that doesn't mean he is good for her. Pete needs to come rescue Kate, get her two brothers, and go and make a wonderful life together!
