Can anybody compare this (9th or 10th edition preferably) to Ari Herstand's How to Make It in the New Music Business? What I can tell you from reading Donald's and both Ari's 1st and 2nd editions is that Donald's book has a more technical "business" approach and is a great book for managers, promoters, A&Rs, and anyone in the music business who is more on the "business" side rather than in the "creative" side. On the other hand, Ari's book has a more musician/creative friendly approach and is intended for anyone who needs an overall view of the music business and the creative process.(less)
