Good question! I love the Grim Reaper as a character and originally started on an idea about Reapers, quite a popular concept. While working on that I realised that a lot of stories seemed to stop at death. For me that meant to there was a lot of unexplored territory. I guess Gloomwood came out of falling down my own rabbit hole and deciding I liked what was down there more than I was working on! Plus, Gloomwood is a free world to explore full of opportunities to explore life... Even though everyone is dead!(less)
